Match Summary
Rocky Hill faced off against SENE foe St. Thomas More in a tough well-fought match on Wednesday afternoon. ?Both teams came ready to play, and the game was tense and physical right from the get-go. ?STM took the lead on a rebound after a quality save from sophomore Kian Garcia. ?The Mariners responded well to being down for the first time this season, upping their intensity and finding some joy on the counter-attack. They leveled things when senior Jack Krikorian took a ball up the right flank and found junior Carter Holubesko with a nice cut back pass at the top of the box, which he promptly deposited into the right corner of the net. In the second half, after forcing several spectacular saves from the STM, freshman Michael Calderon latched onto a failed clearance at the corner of the box. He was able to slip past one defender and send in a low cross, which sophomore Vitor Breseghelo lashed into the right side of the goal to give Rocky Hill the lead they would not relinquish.
