North Carolina High School Volleyball - Mountain Heritage can't hold off Draughn

September 20, 2023: Valdese, NC 28690

In Wednesday's league battle, the host Draughn Wildcats volleyball team scored a tight 3-2 triumph over the Mountain Heritage Cougars.

The Wildcats (12-3) will now prepare for their battle against Owen (Black Mountain, NC). The Warhorses come into the Western Highlands 1A/2A battle with a 8-4 record. In their last battle, Owen nudged Madison (Marshall, NC), 3-1, in a league battle.

Next, the Cougars clash with the A.C. Reynolds Rockets (Asheville, NC) in a non-league battle, on Monday, September 25. Mountain Heritage will attempt to advance on its 8-5 season record. The Rockets come into the battle with a 6-7 record after their 3-2 league win over McDowell (Marion, NC).
