Pennsylvania High School Football - Riverside nudges New Brighton

The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Riverside Panthers (Ellwood City, PA) and the host New Brighton Lions (New Brighton, PA), witnessed Riverside's football squad edge New Brighton by a tally of 20-13.

The Panthers (3-2) will now prepare for their contest against Western Beaver (Industry, PA). The Golden Beavers enter the WPIAL AA Midwestern contest with a 3-1 record. In their last contest, Western Beaver got by Union Area (New Castle, PA), 33-6, in a league contest.

Coming up next, the Lions confront the Ellwood City Wolverine (Ellwood City, PA) in a WPIAL AA Midwestern contest, on Friday, September 27. New Brighton will attempt to better on its 3-2 season record. The Wolverine enter the contest with a 4-0 record after their 43-3 league win over Freedom Area (Freedom, PA).
