In Friday's non-league bout, the Penobscot Valley Howlers (Howland, ME) soccer squad tipped the visiting Orono Riots (Orono, ME), by a score of 2-1.
The Howlers now possess a 1-2 record. They play next when they host Mattanawcook for a non-league bout on Monday, September 23. Penobscot Valley will play a Lynx squad coming off a 4-0 league loss to Foxcroft Academy (Dover-Foxcroft, ME). The Lynx record now stands at 2-2.
With the loss, Orono moves to 1-2 on the year. The Riots travel to Bucksport (Bucksport, ME) to play the Golden Bucks in a Class C - North bout on Thursday, September 26. The Golden Bucks go into the bout with a record of 4-0. Bucksport won 8-0 in their recent league bout against Washington Academy (East Machias, ME)
