Fans at Friday's league battle between the Prout Crusaders (Wakefield, RI) and the visiting Westerly Bulldogs (Westerly, RI), saw Prout's soccer squad hold off Westerly by a count of 2-1.

The Crusaders (6-1) will now prepare for their battle against West Warwick (West Warwick, RI). The Wizards enter the Division 2 battle with a 0-6 record. In their last battle, West Warwick was edged by Ponaganset (North Scituate, RI), 9-1, in a league battle.

Next up, the Bulldogs battle the Cranston West Falcons (Cranston, RI) in a Division 1 battle, on Saturday, September 21. Westerly will attempt to upgrade on its 6-2 season record. The Falcons enter the battle with a 4-2 record after their 1-0 league win over Smithfield (Esmond, RI).
