The crowd at Friday's league bout between the Monett Cubs (Monett, MO) and the visiting Aurora Houn Dawgs (Aurora, MO), observed Monett's softball team get by Aurora by a tally of 10-4.

The Cubs (8-5) will now prepare for their bout against West Plains (West Plains, MO). The Zizzers go into the non-league bout with a 2-6 record. In their last bout, West Plains was routed by Early (Morrisville, MO), 10-3, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Houn Dawgs clash with the Cassville Wildcats (Cassville, MO) in a Class 3 District 12 bout, on Saturday, September 21. Aurora will attempt to advance on its 1-12 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 8-7 record after their 5-4 non-league loss to Lee's Summit (Lee's Summit, MO).
