Texas High School Volleyball - Sweeny over Brazosport

Fans at Friday's league contest between the Sweeny Bulldogs (Sweeny, TX) and the host Brazosport Exporters (Freeport, TX), observed Sweeny's volleyball team top Brazosport by a count of 3-1.

The Bulldogs (22-8) will now prepare for their contest against La Marque (La Marque, TX). The Cougars enter the 4A Region IV District 29 contest with a 2-12 record. In their last contest, La Marque was knocked off by Columbia (West Columbia, TX), 3-1, in a league contest.

Next, the Exporters meet the El Campo Ricebirds (El Campo, TX) in a 4A Region IV District 29 contest, on Tuesday, September 24. Brazosport will attempt to move on its 13-7 season record. The Ricebirds enter the contest with a 13-11 record after their 3-0 league loss to Needville (Needville, TX).
