In Friday's league challenge, the visiting Little Cypress-Mauriceville Bears volleyball team scored a 3-1 triumph over the Silsbee Tigers.

The Bears (23-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Bridge City (Bridge City, TX). The Cardinals come into the 4A Region III District 18 challenge with a 20-11 record. In their last challenge, Bridge City beat West Orange-Stark (Orange, TX), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Tigers meet the West Orange-Stark Mustangs (Orange, TX) in a 4A Region III District 18 challenge, on Tuesday, September 24. Silsbee will attempt to upgrade on its 7-15 season record. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a 0-9 record after their 3-0 league loss to Bridge City (Bridge City, TX).
