Texas High School Volleyball - Wakeland over Newman Smith

In Friday's league contest, the visiting Wakeland Wolverines volleyball team scored a 3-0 victory over the Newman Smith Trojans.

The Wolverines (19-5) will now prepare for their contest against Highland Park (Dallas, TX). The Scots enter the non-league contest with a 19-8 record. In their last contest, Highland Park notched a victory over Turner (Carrollton, TX), 3-0, in a league contest.

Next, the Trojans battle the The Colony Cougars (The Colony, TX) in a 5A Region II District 12 contest, on Tuesday, September 24. Newman Smith will attempt to move on its 8-14 season record. The Cougars enter the contest with a 5-14 record after their 3-0 league loss to Reedy (Frisco, TX).
