Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Socastee Braves (Myrtle Beach, SC) and the host Hanahan Hawks (Hanahan, SC), observed Socastee's volleyball team top Hanahan by a tally of 2-0.

The Braves (16-3) will now prepare for their contest against St. James (Murrells Inlet, SC). The Sharks enter the AAAA Region 6 contest with a 14-4 record. In their last contest, St. James beat North Myrtle Beach (Little River, SC), 2-0, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Hawks meet the Battery Creek Dolphins (Beaufort, SC) in a AAA Region 8 contest, on Monday, September 22. Hanahan will attempt to upgrade on its 9-10 season record. The Dolphins enter the contest with a 4-5 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Bridges Prep (Beaufort, SC).
