The Barrow Whalers were victorious over the visiting Homer Mariners football team by a score of 22-14 in Saturday's league challenge.
In their next game, the Whalers face the Houston Hawks (Big Lake, AK) in a Mid Alaska test, on Friday, September 26. Barrow will attempt to move on its 4-2 season record. The Hawks come into the test with a 2-4 record after their 40-8 league win over Kodiak (Kodiak, AK).
The Mariners (5-1) will now prepare for their game against Kenai Central (Kenai, AK). The Kardinals enter the Mid Alaska game with a 3-3 record. In their last game, Kenai Central fell by Redington (Wasilla, AK), 6-0, in a league game.
