Burley Bobcats (Burley, ID) fans went home happy Saturday as they saw their soccer squad hold off the visiting Preston Indians (Preston, ID), 1-0 in a non-league outing.

The Bobcats (6-2) will now prepare for their outing against Wood River (Hailey, ID). The Wolverines enter the 5A Great Basin outing with a 8-0 record. In their last outing, Wood River tipped Mountain Home (Mountain Home, ID), 11-0, in a league outing.

Next up, the Indians confront the Pocatello Thunder (Pocatello, ID) in a 5A South East Idaho outing, on Tuesday, September 23. Preston will attempt to move on its 1-8 season record. The Thunder come into the test with a 3-3 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Skyline (Idaho Falls, ID).
