The St. Edmond Gaels volleyball squad (Fort Dodge, IA), was edged 2-1 in Saturday's non-league challenge with the host Bishop Garrigan Golden Bears (Algona, IA)

The Golden Bears (4-11) will now prepare for their challenge against Bishop Heelan Catholic (Sioux City, IA). The Crusaders enter the non-league challenge with a 8-8 record. In their last challenge, Bishop Heelan Catholic was tipped by Sioux City North (Sioux City, IA), 3-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Gaels meet the Gehlen Catholic Jays (Le Mars, IA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, September 20. St. Edmond will attempt to upgrade on its 6-6 season record. The Jays enter the challenge with a 3-8 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Harris-Lake Park (Lake Park, IA).
