In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Crestwood Cadets volleyball team scored a close 2-1 victory over the Riceville Wildcats.
The Cadets (7-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Waukon (Waukon, IA). The Indians enter the Northeast Iowa challenge with a 6-5 record.
Next, the Wildcats face the Tripoli Panthers (Tripoli, IA) in a non-league test, on Thursday, September 25. Riceville will attempt to improve on its 4-10 season record. The Panthers go into the test with a 7-9 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Nashua-Plainfield (Nashua, IA).
