In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Fowler Eagles volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Eaton Rapids Greyhounds.

The Eagles (13-5) will now prepare for their challenge against St. Patrick (Portland, MI). The Shamrocks come into the Central Michigan challenge with a 1-13 record. In their last challenge, St. Patrick was edged by Pewamo-Westphalia (Pewamo, MI), 3-0, in a league test.

The Greyhounds now sport a 9-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Olivet for a Capital Area - White test on Tuesday, September 23. Eaton Rapids will face a Eagles squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Ionia (Ionia, MI). The Eagles record now stands at 4-2.
