Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Fountain Valley Danes (Colorado Springs, CO) and the visiting Miami-Yoder Buffaloes (Rush, CO), observed Fountain Valley's volleyball team top Miami-Yoder by a count of 3-1.

The Danes (3-3) will now prepare for their contest against James Irwin (Colorado Springs, CO). The Jaguars enter the non-league contest with a 1-6 record. In their last battle, James Irwin dropped by Woodland Park (Woodland Park, CO), 3-0, in a league battle.

The Buffaloes now own a 3-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to James Irwin for a non-league battle on Saturday, September 20. Miami-Yoder will encounter a Jaguars squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Woodland Park (Woodland Park, CO). The Jaguars record now stands at 1-6.

Match Summary

The Fountain Valley School Danes put on a show in their home tournament matchup against Miami Yoder. After a slow start and dropping the first set, the Danes found their rhythm and never looked back. The second set was a thriller, with both sides trading points until the Danes pulled out a nail-biting 27–25 win. With momentum on their side, FVS dominated the next two sets 25–18 and 25–14 to take the match 3–1. It was a full team effort. Kylin and Olivia set the tone with assist after assist, running the offense with precision. Ainsley and Keira held down the back row, receiving serve after serve and keeping plays alive. On the outside, A’sha delivered powerful kills that Miami Yoder’s defense couldn’t contain, while Lili contributed both defensively and offensively with steady passing and big swings. In the middle, Sarah and Choedon were strong at the net, blocking and attacking with confidence. Brianna gave the team reliable defense, hustling to every ball. Amazing team win.
