Georgia High School Volleyball - Gilmer edged by Union County

The Gilmer Bobcats volleyball squad (Ellijay, GA), was edged 2-1 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Union County Panthers (Blairsville, GA)

With the win, Union County improves its record to 18-11 on the season. The Panthers travel to Gainesville (Gainesville, GA) to meet the Red Elephants in a non-league challenge on Saturday, September 20. The Red Elephants enter the challenge with a record of 16-9. Gainesville won 3-0 in their recent league challenge against Chattahoochee (Alpharetta, GA)

Next, the Bobcats meet the Northwest Whitfield Bruins (Tunnel Hill, GA) in a 3A Area 7 challenge, on Tuesday, September 23. Gilmer will attempt to upgrade on its 10-18 season record. The Bruins enter the challenge with a 19-13 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Chattooga (Summerville, GA).
