Newton Railroaders (Newton, KS) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the visiting Hutchinson Salthawks (Hutchinson, KS), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Railroaders (3-13) will now prepare for their challenge against Salina Central (Salina, KS). The Mustangs come into the Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail Division II challenge with a 10-6 record. In their last challenge, Salina Central lost by Andover Central (Andover, KS), 2-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Salthawks play the Great Bend Panthers (Great Bend, KS) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, September 25. Hutchinson will attempt to upgrade on its 10-7 season record.
