Illinois High School Volleyball - Jersey over Southwestern

In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Jersey Panthers volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Southwestern Piasa Birds.

The Panthers (12-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Red Bud (Red Bud, IL). The Musketeers come into the non-league challenge with a 16-1 record. In their last challenge, Red Bud beat Carlyle (Carlyle, IL), 2-1, in a league challenge.

Next, the Piasa Birds meet the Granite City Warriors (Granite City, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, September 20. Southwestern will attempt to advance on its 8-7 season record. The Warriors go into the test with a 2-7 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Gibault Catholic (Waterloo, IL).
