Kapaun Mt. Carmel Crusaders (Wichita, KS) boosters left the game thrilled Saturday as they witnessed their volleyball team tip the host Maize Eagles (Maize, KS), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Crusaders (13-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Southeast (Wichita, KS). The Golden Buffalo come into the Greater Wichita challenge with a 9-7 record. In their last challenge, Southeast edged Life Prep (Park City, KS), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Eagles meet the South Cougars (Salina, KS) in a Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail Division I challenge, on Tuesday, September 23. Maize will attempt to upgrade on its 7-10 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 11-7 record after their 2-1 non-league win over Emporia (Emporia, KS).
