In Saturday's league challenge, the visiting Kingsley-Pierson Panthers volleyball team scored a close 2-1 victory over the Odebolt Arthur Battle Creek Ida Grove Falcons.

The Panthers (12-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Sidney (Sidney, IA). The Cowboys go into the non-league test with a 8-3 record. In their last test, Sidney nudged East Mills (Malvern, IA), 3-0, in a non-league test.

The Falcons now own a 13-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Woodbury Central for a Western Valley test on Tuesday, October 7.
