Lyford Bulldogs (Lyford, TX) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they observed their volleyball team overcome the visiting Progreso Red Ants (Progreso, TX), 3-0 in a league challenge.

The Bulldogs (15-11) will now prepare for their challenge against IDEA Robindale (Brownsville, TX). The Aviators enter the 3A Region IV District 32 challenge with a 1-2 record. In their last challenge, IDEA Robindale was beaten by IDEA Frontier College Prep (Brownsville, TX), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Red Ants meet the Raymondville Bearkats (Raymondville, TX) in a 3A Region IV District 32 test, on Friday, September 26. Progreso will attempt to improve on its 6-1 season record.
