Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Sandy Pioneers (Sandy, OR) and the visiting McDaniel Mountain Lions (Portland, OR), observed Sandy's volleyball team top McDaniel by a count of 2-0.

The Pioneers (8-3) will now prepare for their contest against Nelson (Happy Valley, OR). The enter the 6A Mt. Hood battle with a 7-2 record. In their last battle, Nelson achieved victory over David Douglas (Portland, OR), 3-0, in a league battle.

The Mountain Lions now own a 6-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sunset for a non-league battle on Saturday, September 20. McDaniel will encounter a Apollos squad coming off a 3-1 league loss to Mountainside (Beaverton, OR). The Apollos record now stands at 4-6.
