Texas High School Volleyball - Sweetwater over Merkel

The Sweetwater Mustangs (Sweetwater, TX) volleyball knocked off the host Merkel Badgers (Merkel, TX), 3-1 in Saturday's league bout.

The Mustangs now possess a 16-14 record. They play next when they host Clyde for a 3A Region I District 6 bout on Tuesday, September 23. Sweetwater will clash with a Bulldogs team coming off a 3-0 league win over Grape Creek (San Angelo, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 26-7.

The Badgers (12-13) will now prepare for their match against San Angelo Texas Leadership Charter Academy (San Angelo, TX). The Eagles enter the 3A Region I District 6 match with a 18-7 record.
