Illinois High School Volleyball - St. Anthony tips Shelbyville

September 20, 2025: Effingham, IL 62401

In Saturday's non-league test, the host St. Anthony Bulldogs volleyball squad scored a tight 2-1 win over the Shelbyville Rams.

With the win, St. Anthony improves its record to 11-4 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Father McGivney Catholic (Glen Carbon, IL) to meet the Griffins in a Gateway Metro challenge on Saturday, September 20. The Griffins come into the challenge with a record of 13-3. Father McGivney Catholic won 2-0 in their recent league challenge against Christ Our Rock Lutheran (Centralia, IL)

Next, the Rams meet the Mt. Zion Braves (Mt. Zion, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, September 20. Shelbyville will attempt to advance on its 12-5 season record. The Braves go into the test with a 11-6 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Monticello (Monticello, IL).
