Union Academy Cardinals (Monroe, NC) fans were pleased Wednesday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Albemarle Bulldogs (Albemarle, NC), 10-1 in a league challenge.

Next, the Cardinals confront the Sun Valley Spartans (Monroe, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, September 23. Union Academy will attempt to better on its 7-1 season record. The Spartans enter the challenge with a 7-2 record after their 4-0 league loss to Weddington (Matthews, NC).

The Bulldogs now have a 3-4 record. They take the field next when they host Robinson for a Yadkin Valley 1A/2A challenge on Monday, September 26. Albemarle will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 9-0 league win over South Stanly (Norwood, NC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 10-1.
