In Wednesday's league battle, the visiting Middle Creek Mustangs soccer squad scored a close 2-1 win over the Panther Creek Catamounts.
The Mustangs (7-3) will now prepare for their battle against Apex (Apex, NC). The Cougars go into the Southwest Wake 4A battle with a 12-0 record. In their last battle, Apex nipped Apex Friendship (Apex, NC), 2-1, in a league battle.
The Catamounts (0-9) will now prepare for their battle against Green Level (Cary, NC). The Gators go into the Southwest Wake 4A battle with a 6-4 record. In their last battle, Green Level Athens Drive (Raleigh, NC), 0-0, in a non-league battle.
