In Wednesday's league battle, the host Amelia County Raiders volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Randolph-Henry Statesmen.
The Raiders (4-3) will now prepare for their battle against Buckingham (Buckingham, VA). The Knights come into the James River battle with a 1-5 record. In their last battle, Buckingham lost by Nottoway (Nottoway, VA), 3-2, in a league battle.
Next, the Statesmen encounter the Cumberland Dukes (Cumberland, VA) in a James River battle, on Thursday, September 22. Randolph-Henry will attempt to advance on its 2-5 season record. The Dukes come into the battle with a 0-8 record after their 3-1 league loss to Amelia County (Amelia Court House, VA).
