In Wednesday's non-league battle, the visiting Highland Springs Springers volleyball team scored a tight 3-2 triumph over the L.C. Bird Skyhawks.

The Springers (5-5) will now prepare for their battle against Henrico (Richmond, VA). The Warriors come into the Capital battle with a 2-7 record. In their last battle, Henrico was edged by Mechanicsville (Mechanicsville, VA), 3-0, in a league battle.

Next, the Skyhawks clash with the Meadowbrook Monarchs (Richmond, VA) in a non-league battle, on Monday, September 26. L.C. Bird will attempt to advance on its 2-6 season record. The Monarchs come into the battle with a 3-5 record after their 3-0 league loss to Colonial Heights (Colonial Heights, VA).
