The Merced Bears topped the host Patterson Tigers volleyball team by a score of 3-0 in Wednesday's league test.

The Bears now have a 5-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Golden Valley for a Central California Conference test on Monday, September 26. Merced will confront a Cougars team coming off a 3-0 league loss to El Capitan (Merced, CA). The Cougars record now stands at 17-8.

The Tigers (3-5) will now prepare for their test against Lathrop (Lathrop, CA). The Spartans enter the non-league test with a 7-5 record. In their last test, Lathrop gained a win over Los Banos (Los Banos, CA), 3-0, in a league test.
