In Wednesday's non-league contest, the Mingo Central Miners (Matewan, WV) volleyball squad knocked off the visiting Tug Valley Panthers (Williamson, WV), by a margin of 3-1.
Next up, the Miners battle the Scott Skyhawks (Madison, WV) in a Cardinal contest, on Thursday, September 22. Mingo Central will attempt to better on its 4-8 season record. The Skyhawks come into the contest with a 14-2 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Sherman (Seth, WV).
With the loss, Tug Valley drops to 0-4 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Logan (Logan, WV) to battle the Wildcats in a non-league contest on Tuesday, October 4. The Wildcats come into the contest with a record of 2-8.
