The Valley Central Vikings volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the host Newburgh Free Academy Goldbacks to 0 in the Vikings league victory on Wednesday.

The Vikings now have a 4-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Pine Bush for a Section 9 Orange County I game on Thursday, September 22. Valley Central will confront a Bushmen team coming off a 3-0 league win over Middletown (Middletown, NY). The Bushmen record now stands at 5-2.

The Goldbacks (0-4) will now prepare for their game against Washingtonville (Washingtonville, NY). The Wizards enter the Section 9 Orange County I game with a 6-3 record. In their last game, Washingtonville gained a win over Kingston (Kingston, NY), 3-2, in a league game.
