The Bishop Ireton Cardinals volleyball team (Alexandria, VA), was dropped 2-0 in Thursday's league challenge with the visiting Paul VI Panthers (Chantilly, VA)

The Panthers (5-1) will now prepare for their bout against Bishop McNamara (Forestville, MD). The Mustangs go into the bout with a 1-2 record. In their last bout, Bishop McNamara was topped by Bishop O'Connell (Arlington, VA), 2-0, in a non-league bout.

The Cardinals now own a 1-1 record. They play next when they host Trinity Christian for a non-league bout on Friday, September 22. Bishop Ireton will play a Gryphons squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Immanuel Christian (Springfield, VA). The Gryphons record now stands at 3-2.
