The crowd at Thursday's non-league bout between the Carson Cougars (China Grove, NC) and the host Concord Spiders (Concord, NC), saw Carson's volleyball squad beat Concord by a tally of 2-0.

With the win, Carson upgrades its record to 8-1 on the year. The Cougars travel to East Rowan (Salisbury, NC) to play the Mustangs in a non-league bout on Monday, September 25. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 4-9. East Rowan won 2-0 in their recent non-league bout against Central Cabarrus (Concord, NC)

The Spiders now own a 5-8 record. They play next when they travel to Robinson for a non-league bout on Monday, September 25. Concord will play a Bulldogs squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to West Rowan (Mt. Ulla, NC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-9.
