The Wilmington Wildcats volleyball team scored 2 points and limited the visiting Streator Bulldogs to 1 in the Wildcats league victory on Thursday.
The Wildcats now possess a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Joliet West for a non-league game on Saturday, September 23. Wilmington will meet a Tigers team coming off a 2-0 league win over Plainfield Central (Plainfield, IL). The Tigers record now stands at 12-2.
The Bulldogs (11-9) will now prepare for their game against Ottawa (Ottawa, IL). The Pirates enter the non-league game with a 0-1 record. In their last game, Ottawa was nudged by Streator (Streator, IL), 2-1, in a non-league game.
