The Appling County Pirates (Baxley, GA) softball the host Tattnall County Warriors (Reidsville, GA), 5-3 in Thursday's league bout.
The Pirates (10-6) will now prepare for their bout against Brantley County (Nahunta, GA). The Herons go into the 2A Region 3 bout with a 5-10 record.
The Warriors now possess a 2-13 record. They play next when they travel to Claxton for a non-league bout on Monday, September 25. Tattnall County will confront a Tigers squad coming off a 7-2 league loss to Metter (Metter, GA). The Tigers record now stands at 7-3.
