In Thursday's league outing, the visiting Archer Tigers softball team scored a close 6-2 win over the Newton Rams.

Coming up next, the Tigers encounter the Eagle's Landing Christian Academy Chargers (McDonough, GA) in a non-league outing, on Friday, September 22. Archer will attempt to upgrade on its 7-10 season record.

The Rams (2-14) will now prepare for their outing against Morgan County (Madison, GA). The Bulldogs enter the non-league outing with a 13-6 record. In their last outing, Morgan County tipped Oconee County (Watkinsville, GA), 8-3, in a non-league outing.
