The Cozad Haymakers softball team scored 12 runs and limited the host Chase County Longhorns to 0 in the Haymakers league triumph on Thursday.

With the triumph, Cozad improves its record to 14-7 on the year. The Haymakers travel to Polk County (Stromsburg, NE) to clash with the Slammers in a non-league game on Saturday, September 23. The Slammers come into the game with a record of 12-9. Polk County won 6-1 in their recent non-league game against York (York, NE)

In their next game, the Longhorns clash with the Gothenburg Swedes (Gothenburg, NE) in a C District 10 game, on Thursday, September 21. Chase County will attempt to improve on its 0-20 season record. The Swedes come into the game with a 15-9 record after their 4-3 non-league loss to St. Cecilia (Hastings, NE).
