Papillion-LaVista Monarchs (Papillion, NE) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Norfolk Panthers (Norfolk, NE), 3-0 in a league challenge.

The Monarchs now sport a 20-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Gretna for a A District challenge on Saturday, September 23. Papillion-LaVista will face a Dragons squad coming off a 8-0 league win over Norfolk (Norfolk, NE). The Dragons record now stands at 22-1.

With the loss, Norfolk falls to 15-6 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Gretna (Gretna, NE) to face the Dragons in a A District challenge on Thursday, September 21. The Dragons enter the challenge with a record of 21-1. Gretna won 14-2 in their recent league challenge against Elkhorn South (Omaha, NE)
