The crowd at Thursday's league bout between the Belle Plaine Plainsmen (Belle Plaine, IA) and the visiting Sigourney Savages (Sigourney, IA), saw Belle Plaine's volleyball squad nip Sigourney by a tally of 3-2.

With the win, Belle Plaine upgrades its record to 11-5 on the year. The Plainsmen travel to Waterloo East (Waterloo, IA) to play the Trojans in a non-league bout on Saturday, September 23. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 4-13. Waterloo East lost 3-2 in their recent non-league bout against Mason City (Mason City, IA)

The Savages now own a 8-5 record. They play next when they host English Valleys for a South Iowa Cedar bout on Monday, September 25. Sigourney will play a Bears squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Tri-County (Thornburg, IA). The Bears record now stands at 9-7.
