Georgia High School Volleyball - Burke County Islands

The Burke County Bears volleyball team (Waynesboro, GA), went down 2-0 in Thursday's league challenge with the visiting Islands Sharks (Savannah, GA)

The Sharks (11-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Wayne County (Jesup, GA). The Yellow Jackets enter the 4A Area 3 challenge with a 9-11 record. In their last challenge, Wayne County went down by Savannah (Savannah, GA), 2-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Bears encounter the Glenn Hills Spartans (Augusta, GA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, September 26. Burke County will attempt to move on its 16-8 season record. The Spartans enter the challenge with a 2-9 record after their 2-0 league win over Westside (Augusta, GA).
