The Murrieta Valley Nighthawks held off the visiting Chaparral Pumas volleyball team by a score of 3-2 in Thursday's league test.

The Nighthawks now have a 11-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sultana for a non-league test on Friday, September 22. Murrieta Valley will confront a Sultans team coming off a 3-2 league loss to Burroughs (Ridgecrest, CA). The Sultans record now stands at 6-12.

The Pumas (16-5) will now prepare for their test against Vista Murrieta (Murrieta, CA). The Broncos enter the Southwestern test with a 11-5 record. In their last test, Vista Murrieta was nudged by Long Beach Poly (Long Beach, CA), 2-0, in a non-league test.
