The Washington-Wilkes Tigers volleyball team (Washington, GA), was nudged 3-2 in Thursday's league challenge with the host Greene County Tigers (Greensboro, GA)

The Tigers (2-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Oglethorpe County (Lexington, GA). The Patriots enter the 1A Area 5 challenge with a 18-3 record. In their last challenge, Oglethorpe County nipped Lake Oconee Academy (Greensboro, GA), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Tigers meet the Aquinas Fightin' Irish (Augusta, GA) in a 1A Area 5 challenge, on Tuesday, September 26. Washington-Wilkes will attempt to move on its 1-10 season record. The Fightin' Irish enter the challenge with a 6-8 record after their 3-0 league win over Social Circle (Social Circle, GA).
