In Thursday's league contest, the Wakefield Warriors (Arlington, VA) volleyball squad were winner over the host Herndon Hornets (Herndon, VA), by a margin of 3-0.
Next up, the Warriors battle the George C. Marshall Statesmen (Falls Church, VA) in a Liberty contest, on Tuesday, September 26. Wakefield will attempt to better on its 6-3 season record. The Statesmen go into the contest with a 10-6 record after their 3-1 league win over McLean (McLean, VA).
With the loss, Herndon moves to 1-6 on the year. The Hornets travel to Meridian (Falls Church, VA) to battle the Mustangs in a non-league contest on Saturday, September 23. The Mustangs go into the contest with a record of 4-8. Meridian lost 3-1 in their recent league contest against Kettle Run (Nokesville, VA)
