Mississippi High School Volleyball - Newton crushed by Lake

The Lake Hornets volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the visiting Newton Tigers to 0 in the Hornets league victory on Thursday.
The Hornets now have a 14-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Newton County for a non-league game on Monday, September 25. Lake will meet a Cougars team coming off a 3-0 league win over West Lauderdale (Collinsville, MS). The Cougars record now stands at 23-4.
The Tigers (1-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Clarkdale (Meridian, MS). The Bulldogs enter the Class 3 Region 5 challenge with a 9-4 record. In their last challenge, Clarkdale defeated Scott Central (Forest, MS), 3-2, in a league challenge.
