The Mount Miguel Matadors topped the visiting Monte Vista Monarchs volleyball team by a score of 3-1 in Thursday's league test.

The Matadors now have a 3-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Southwest SD for a non-league test on Monday, September 25. Mount Miguel will confront a Raiders team coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Lincoln (San Diego, CA). The Raiders record now stands at 8-18.

The Monarchs (1-13) will now prepare for their test against Grossmont (El Cajon, CA). The Foothillers enter the Grossmont Valley test with a 7-8 record. In their last test, Grossmont dropped by Steele Canyon (Spring Valley, CA), 3-0, in a league test.
