North Carolina High School Volleyball - Rockingham County over Southern Guilford

September 21, 2023: Wentworth, NC 27375

The crowd at Thursday's league bout between the Rockingham County Cougars (Wentworth, NC) and the visiting Southern Guilford Storm (Greensboro, NC), saw Rockingham County's volleyball squad beat Southern Guilford by a tally of 3-0.

With the win, Rockingham County upgrades its record to 11-4 on the year. The Cougars host Ben L. Smith (Greensboro, NC) to play the Golden Eagles in a Mid-State 3A bout on Tuesday, September 26. The Golden Eagles go into the bout with a record of 7-6.

The Storm now own a 7-6 record. They play next when they travel to Page for a non-league bout on Monday, September 25. Southern Guilford will play a Pirates squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Southwest Guilford (High Point, NC). The Pirates record now stands at 1-9.
