McLoughlin Pioneers (Milton-Freewater, OR) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they witnessed their soccer team knock off the visiting Stanfield/Echo Tigers (Stanfield, OR), 3-1 in a league test.

With the triumph, McLoughlin moves its record to 4-1 on the campaign. The Pioneers travel to Irrigon (Irrigon, OR) to meet the Knights in a 3A/2A/1A-SD5 Special District 5 test on Tuesday, September 24. The Knights come into the test with a record of 1-4. Irrigon lost 3-0 in their recent league test against Grant Union (John Day, OR)

The Tigers now sport a 5-2 record. They take the field next when they host Trout Lake for a non-league test on Friday, September 27. Stanfield/Echo will meet a Mustangs team coming off a 3-2 league loss to Riverdale (Portland, OR). The Mustangs record now stands at 2-3.
