In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Monta Vista Matadors volleyball team scored a 2-0 victory over the Rancho San Juan Trailblazers.

The Matadors (13-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Homestead (Cupertino, CA). The Mustangs enter the challenge with a 3-4 record. In their last challenge, Homestead was beaten by Lincoln (Stockton, CA), 2-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Trailblazers meet the North Monterey County Condors (Castroville, CA) in a challenge, on Wednesday, September 25. Rancho San Juan will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Condors enter the challenge with a 5-4 record after their 2-0 league win over North Salinas (Salinas, CA).
