Fans at Saturday's league battle between the Middlebury Tigers (Middlebury, VT) and the visiting Vergennes Commodores (Vergennes, VT), saw Middlebury's soccer squad knock off Vergennes by a count of 2-0.

The Tigers (2-5) will now prepare for their battle against Mt. Abraham (Bristol, VT). The Eagles enter the Lake battle with a 2-2 record. In their last battle, Mt. Abraham by Rice Memorial (South Burlington, VT), 2-1, in a league battle.

Next up, the Commodores battle the Milton Yellowjackets (Milton, VT) in a Lake battle, on Tuesday, September 24. Vergennes will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Yellowjackets enter the battle with a 3-3 record after their 4-0 league win over Missisquoi Valley (Swanton, VT).
